Inspired by Oud Wood Intense - 645 (Oil Perfume)
Suitable For: Women & Men
Format: Oil Perfume
Oud, Without the Drama
Rosewood, cardamom and Chinese pepper open it with a dry spiciness, and then it settles into what it's really about — oud, sandalwood and vetiver, smooth rather than harsh. Tonka bean, vanilla and amber round the base out, taking the edge off the wood without making it sweet.
This is the oud for people who think they don't like oud. Refined enough to wear to work, warm enough for the evening.
Why the oil and not the spray
An alcohol spray gives you a big opening and then drops away, because the alcohol lifts off and takes the top notes with it. Oil has nothing to evaporate. It releases slowly from the skin, so the oud and sandalwood are still there in the afternoon instead of finishing by mid-morning.
No alcohol also means no sting on freshly shaved skin and no spray drift onto shirt collars or silk.
Why 10ml is not less than 30ml
This is concentrated, so a wear is a dab at the wrists and the base of the neck, not three or four sprays into the air. You use a fraction of the amount, and you are not topping up at lunchtime. Bottle for bottle, the 10ml gives you more wears than a 30ml spray, not fewer.
Never worn an oil before?
Start with the 3ml at £5.99. Dab it on, don't rub it in, and give it ten minutes before you decide. Oils open on the skin rather than in the air, so the first thirty seconds tell you almost nothing.
Alcohol-free and concentrated.
Want the spray anyway? The same blend is available as a parfum in 30ml and 50ml, from £9.99. See 645 Parfum →
