Frequently asked questions
How much is delivery?
UK delivery is £2.95, and free on orders over £30. We also ship to the EU and internationally — those rates are shown at checkout before you pay.
When will my order arrive?
Orders are dispatched within 2–4 working days. You'll get an email with tracking as soon as yours is on its way.
What is your returns policy?
You have 15 days from the day your order arrives to return it. Email us at pureessencesscent@gmail.com with your order number and we'll sort it out.
For hygiene reasons we can only accept returns on items that are unused and sealed.
Where are your fragrances made?
Every Pure Essence fragrance is blended by us here in the UK, in small batches. We're not reselling someone else's stock — we make it, which is how we keep the concentration high and the price where it is.
Are these the designer fragrances?
No, and we'd never claim otherwise. Our fragrances are our own interpretations, inspired by scents people know and love. We're not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any of the brands we reference — we name them only so you know what family of scent to expect.
What's the difference between the oils and the sprays?
Our perfume oils are alcohol-free roll-ons in 3ml, 5ml and 10ml. They sit close to the skin, wear for hours and travel well in a pocket or bag.
Our Parfum sprays come in 30ml and 50ml. They're alcohol-based, which is what gives them their projection — more noticeable from across a room.
If you're trying a scent for the first time, the 3ml oil is the cheapest way to live with it for a few days before committing.
Are your fragrances alcohol-free?
Our roll-on oils are alcohol-free, which is why they suit sensitive skin better and stay closer to the body. Our Parfum sprays are alcohol-based.
If you have a known fragrance allergy, please check the ingredients listed on the product page before ordering.
Are they vegan and cruelty-free?
Yes — all of them, without exception. We don't test on animals and we don't use animal-derived ingredients.
How should I apply it, and how long will it last?
Apply to pulse points — wrists, the neck, behind the ears — where your skin is warmest. Don't rub your wrists together; it crushes the delicate top notes.
Most of our blends wear for six hours or more, and the heavier ambers and ouds go considerably longer. Fragrance always lasts better on moisturised skin.
Which scent should I choose?
Try our scent finder — a few quick questions and it'll narrow all 55 down to the three closest to what you're after. You can also search it by a fragrance you already wear.
